Avionté bug fixes: Week of September 21, 2026

This update addresses issues affecting endpoint reliability, webhook event payloads, and contact duplicate checking. Check the rest of the article for more details.

• Query Multiple Users Endpoint Returned 504 Timeout Errors

  Resolved an issue where the Query Multiple Users endpoint intermittently returned 504 Gateway Timeout errors when processing large multi-query requests.

  With this fix, the endpoint now processes multi-query requests more reliably and returns responses within expected performance thresholds under normal load conditions.

• placement_started Webhook Event Did Not Always Populate Talent ID

  Resolved an issue where the talentId value was not populated in some placement_started webhook event payloads. Previously, the event could include the correct talentId in some cases but return null in others.

  With this fix, the placement_started event now correctly populates talentId.

• Update a Contact Applied Inconsistent Duplicate-Checking Logic

  Resolved an issue where the Update a Contact endpoint checked only the email address when determining whether a contact was a duplicate, while Create a Contact for Department checked the first name, last name, and email.

  With this fix, Update a Contact now uses the same duplicate-checking criteria as Create a Contact for Department. The update is blocked with a Duplicate contact record found error when the resulting first name, last name, and email all match an existing different contact. If the email matches but the first name or last name differs, the update succeeds.
