The list of terms and their definitions used throughout Avionté APIs.
Term | Definition |

Applicant | A state of the current talent in the system. This is a talent who is applying for a job. |
Back Office | Financial operations and transactions for a company such as time entry, payroll, billing, accounts receivable, and all relevant accounting period information. In Avionté software, Back Office consists of Time Entry, Payroll, Billing, Invoice, Aging Report (AR), AP Paycheck, Weekly Process, and Import/Export. |
Branch | A company's various locations or business divisions. Branches are also referred to as offices or departments. They occupy the following position in the Front Office hierarchy: Employer/Division/FEIN/Staffing Supplier → Region → Office/Branch/Staffing Supplier Site. |
Candidate | Talent’s state in the system. This is an applicant who is being considered for the job. |
Company | A customer or a staffing agency who places job orders for services to be provided by the staffing agency. |
Company Restrictions | A list of talent who have been restricted from being placed on jobs for a specific company. |
Contact | A person that is a point of contact for a company and serves varying roles. A contact must be associated with a company, so it can be added only after the company has been created. |
Department | The Back Office term for Office in Front Office. Departments represent segments within the staffing agency's customer business. |
Division | The employer or the staffing supplier. It occupies the following position in the Front Office hierarchy: Employer/Division/FEIN/Staffing Supplier → Region → Office/Branch/Staffing Supplier Site. |
Employee | A state of the current talent in the system. This is a hired candidate. |
E-Verify | E-Verify is an Employment Eligibility Service managed by the US Government's Department of Homeland Security. Avionté integrates with E-Verify and displays the E-Verify screens used to gather information that is sent to the Department of Homeland Security. |
Front Office | The day-to-day operations of a staffing company such as Customer Service, Customer Support, operational CRM, and Sales. In Avionté software, the Front Office consists of Employee, Customer, Order, DH Order, Assignment Contact, and Agency. |
Geocode | Numerical coordinate. Its value is generated based on the ZIP code, city, and state of the address. A precise address must be entered into the Avionté application so the system can accurately determine the geocode for the address. |
HCM User | A recruiter user or someone who has access to the employer view of BOLD. |
Home Office | The office that talent identifies as their closest location based on their home address during application or by the person entering their information into the system |
Job | The role, per the request of a Company, that a talent will fulfill. |
Job Title | The title of the job that the talent applies for. |
Office | The Front Office term for Department in Back Office. Offices represent segments within the staffing agency's customer business. |
Order | A request that comes from a customer for a particular job position. These requests can include the number of positions, dates, rates, and so on. |
Placement | Hiring a talent for a job. |
Region | A geographical collection of offices associated with a parent division. It occupies the following position in the Front Office hierarchy: Employer/Division/FEIN/Staffing Supplier → Region → Office/Branch/Staffing Supplier Site. |
Stage | Candidate onboarding steps for a particular job. |
Talent | A person who is on record in the system. The talent moves through the workflow as an applicant, then a candidate, and finally an employee. |
User | The person who has logged in to the product and uses it. |
Web Applicant | A talent that applies for a job position on the web. |
Worksite Address | The address of a worksite where a talent will be placed. |
